Natalia Carrero.
|
Natalia Carrero is a rising senior at Barnard studying Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Her interest in how the brain functions and the complexity of the mind is a scientific component she wants to tie into her classroom, especially with units on emotions and behavior. Ever since taking Science in the City her sophomore year, Natalia has seen the power of science in sparking intrigue in students. What once had been the most intimidating of all the subject fields she would eventually teach became the one she was most excited about. She loves the naturally student-driven questioning and the spontaneity of where the content has the potential to go when it comes to science education.
The Noyce Program provides Natalia with support and guidance in following her academic and professional aspirations, and she is so excited to incorporate what she will learn in the STEM Colloquium series in her student teaching classroom come this Fall. |
